Insomnia.. kinda

I hate movies that don't give you anything else than a late nap a couple of hours before you were supposed to go to bed. Like King Kong did tonight..

Didn't like it at all. Peter Jackson failed in the most important thing of all when it comes to making a movie, making the audience believe in the world you've created in the movie. George Lucas did the same mistake with the latest but first Star Wars movies to make an example, and Peter Jackson did it with King Kong. He concentrated way too much on showing how strong that big damn ape was and how loud he could roar. It was really boring.

That I don't like big monster movies in general might have something to do with it, but i think the movie lacks of a good script too. I mean come on, an ape falling in love with a creature the size of one of his fingers? Just think of all the practical things with it, could they live in the suburbs? What would Kong do with the opposition of son's football team if they lost? What kind of house would they have? What kind of bed? And how the hell could they be doing stuff in bed.. It just doesn't go together! (all these thoughts would of course not have come up if Peter Jackson would have made the world believable..)
I think the only reason people liked the first movie was because it was cool to see a big ape standing on top of the Empire State Building. People have seen that now, so the whole idea of the movie is gone..

Fell asleep during the movie too, which means I'm not really tired at the moment.. A tid bit annoying to say the least.
