Hold on Magnolia to that great highway moon…

Time for an update

Sitting at home enjoying a glass of Laphroaig while watching a Shakira live Blu-ray. That sounds weird, but "live DVD" worked so why not "live Blu-ray"? Either way, it's a pretty nice way to end your week-

I had a pretty damn nice day today, apart from tonight. I'd thought the autumn/winter had come to stay in the past week, but since the sun decided it was not just yet for it to go into hibernation, I took the opportunity to go out and bike around in the surrounds a bit, bringing the camera. It ended up being an awesome day, even though it was a bit windy.

This was only after having gone to MediaMarkt to pick up a new lens though, a Tamron 18-200mm, F/3.5-6.3! I'm probably the most creative or artistic person around, but there's at least some of that stuff that I've wanted to find a way for to get out. I tried with what I did at school, but that obviously wasn't my thing. Photography is at least something I've started to like a lot recently and the technical aspect of it all is pretty interesting as well.. It will be fun to try out this lens at a concert as well, Peter Bjorn & John are up next on 12 October.

Finally three points for Hammarby! And what a goal... Hopefully Simon Helg can get his real breakthrough, the one we've been waiting for him to have since his amazing debut two years ago against Helsingborg.

I've been thinking for ten minutes now on how to write about how I feel about the Swedish FA and what they're doing to Allsvenskan in general and Hammarby in particular, but I just can't find any words at all. I just don't know where to start, it's too much. Not doing anything about a club and goalkeeper making their goal smaller while making their opponents goal larger, which by the way made headlines worldwide, just says it all.

Instead they give five games suspension to Charlie Davies for his stupid but pretty damn harmless show of irriation when he tried to get away from a defender by lashing backwards and hitting the defender in the face. At the same time they don't do anything about a situation where, if it would have happened outside the pitch, could have rendered in like a two year prison sentence for assault. The IFK Göteborg-player who was assaulted (fast forward to 2:30) by Aik-player Kenny Pavey is lucky to still be able to play football.

Even Djurgårds- and Aik-fans agree that it's unbelievable how different Hamarby are treated by the Swedish FA. If Hammarby does something they have to set a precedence, but if another club does the same thing, even after the precedence has been set, it usually renders in no kind of action against that club what so ever.

A proper journalist would find so much shit going on within the Swedish FA without barely having to really look or dig around.

So, back to the photos. As I said, it was a pretty awesome day...

Mediamarkt is located just next to Amsterdam ArenA, so it was an obvious first thing to photograph. However not head-on so to say.

There are a bunch of cool houses in the zuidoost, the above one and the one below are one of many just around the Arena.

Proper shot of the arena below.

When I got home I jumped on the bike, and after biking for some time I ended up pretty close to Schiphol, and as it happened, in front of a landing strip and thus, underneath the soon-to-be-landed airplanes. I think the below plane is an Airbus, but that's not based on looks, those planes all look the same to me. Instead I base it on the fact that it's a KLM/Air France flight.

This might be a Boeing though. At least the transavia-plane I flew to Malaga was a Boeing...

Some kind of duck variant. Probably the kind that Daffy Duck is based on.

A sheep. Probably not cheap.
