How to use Spotify on the iPhone outside of the currently available countries
It's been a couple of weeks now since Spotify was launched for the iPhone, but so far the application requires you to have Spotify premium at 10 euros a month. It's also only available in the iTunes App Stores in those countries where Spotify is available.
There's no way to trick your way around the first problem of having to pay for it, but you can "trick" your way into having the app at least, even if it officially is not available in your country, i.e. not available in your countries app store.
First of all I was surprised to see that Spotify premium was available here in the Netherlands again. As far as I know it hasn't been that for the past half year or so. However, if you can't buy Spotify premium in your country, you could always try using a proxy through a country where it is available. I don't know whether Spotify has any rules that the credit card must be in the same country as where you're trying to purchase the service.
The second part on getting Spotify on your iPhone is downloading the app. The first step is to get, for example, a Swedish iTunes account, which you can get by following this guide. You can also do it directly on the phone.
Once having done that, all you need to do isĀ search for Spotify and download the application. Then, sign in with your Spotify premium account and enjoy more music than any iPhone ever could hold!

Nice guide thanks, but I guess that you will not be able to use Spotify with your normal regional iTunes profile afterwards? Or can you just copy the entire app from one folder to another or similar, and the sync it to your iphone afterwards?

the iPhone doesnt care about what account you’re currently logged in with when using the app, it only cares about having a valid account when downloading it. You can have up to five itunes account at the same time in itunes if i remember correctly.
