A day at the beach
Ended up going to the beach yesterday after running some errands in town, and not to the usual Scheveningen. Instead I went to a beach called Zuiderstrand which is hidden in between the big Scheveningen and the "native people's" beach Kijkduin.
The landscape here in Holland is not something you really think about, because honestly there's not much landscape to talk about. It's all flat and built on, but this place looked totally different. Except the small bike roads and some walking streaks the only thing that had had any influence was water and wind. Now in the off-season it looked totally deserted, especially since there once had been some buildings off and on, but those had been removed for a to me unknown reason. Probably not enough people coming there in the summer.
Unfortunately I didn't bring my camera which I regret, because the lighting there was simply breathtaking together with the cold landscape and the rough sea. One of those settings that could look amazing in black and white, if you know how to photograph, obviously. Like the guy who took the aobve picture, even if it isn't black and white.
