Matrix evolved

I think we all have wondered if we would take the blue or the red pill, should a person like Morpheus offer it to us. I think that's a very interesting question and don't really have to do anything with the Matrix.

But let's assume for a second that the Matrix do exist, or some kind of it like they talk about in this article. Maybe we can't unplug ourselves, that we are merely machines, created by machines that - ironically - we, or people like us, (could have) created.

As we now have figured out how the world works, what would it take for us to become stronger or in this case, so smart so we can as a starting point take full control of ourselves? Maybe we could even overthrow the machines controlling us and thus "even the score"?

Would the person playing SimCity with us create some disasters, maybe even let some aliens come and destroy all of us?

By the way, I wonder if it was the Matrix that got all these philosophers thinking about such a thing, or if this already existed and Matrix simply brought it out the light. If not, a piece of film can really change the world.

Ending with a quote from the article which would explain, like, SO much;

It’s unsettling to think of the world being run by a futuristic computer geek, although we might at last dispose of that of classic theological question: How could God allow so much evil in the world? For the same reason there are plagues and earthquakes and battles in games like World of Warcraft. Peace is boring, Dude.
