Bicycle Race

A pretty ridiculous thing just happened here. Apparently it's some kind of bicycle race here in Maastricht/Limburg today and it's passing by just outside of my apartment. So at like 14.00 this afternoon people started gathering here and especially at the round-about just outside.More and more people came and at almost exactly 15.00 the first motorbikes and cars came driving with like 10 cyclists after them and of course I couldn't keep myself from blasting Queen's Bicycle Race with my balcony door open when they started coming. Dunno if they heard it down cos of all the noise but whatever..

Took like a minute before the rest of the cyclists came after the ones up front and before the song had even finished everything was over. Started laughing cos all those people had been standing there for over an hour to see something that was over in 3-4 minutes..

Bike races doesn't seem to be really eco-friendly either.. I think it was more motorbikes and cars with either bikes on top of them or ads on the sides than there were cyclists..
