Hold on Magnolia to that great highway moon…

New music..

When I was sitting on the bus home yesterday reading Classic Rock I got such a big urge to listen to new music, so when I came home I started download whatever that got good reviews and lot of other stuff that I had heard about but never really felt I wanted to download. Everything from the oh soooo sweet voice of Joan Baez to Humble Pie to Huey Lewis & The News to fucking Foreigner and to the wonderful pop of Eels. And of course a lot of other shit too. All in all around 60 hours of new music...

Even though I've barely listened to anything of it so much yet, I've especially started to like Eels. They sound a bit like U2 but without the fucking pretentious Bono in the lead. Instead they've got someone who sounds kind of like Tom Waits, but not all as hoarse as him, just a bit.

The reason I'm writing this is that it's very unusual that it has been very rare during the last year that I listen to completely new music. If I've downloaded something it has usually been something that I've already heard a bit of, either on the radio or at friends'. Okay I've heard of some of the new music I downloaded now too, like Jethro Tull, Humble Pie or Lucinda Williams, but not in the same way!

I also found loads of new Songs:Ohia/Magnolia Electric Co stuff, I've been looking so badly for that!

I started to wonder why I had got this sudden urge and I didnt have to think for a long time before I realized it's of course because I feel really good at the moment :)

And oh btw, I added a background to this place too. I think it looks neat but it could be a bit harder to read with it.. Lemme know what ya think about it!
